Whether you have a large or small organisation, you’ll quickly work with teams to organise the work well. With HoorayHR, we want to create a ‘great place to work’, with as much self-management as possible.
Teams: divide the work and create an overview
In HoorayHR, we use teams. By grouping your colleagues into teams, you create an overview and allow team leads to handle requests. This saves the admin a lot of work, and colleagues get their answers faster, for example about leave.
Add teams
To create a team, go to Colleagues > Teams
, and click Manage teams
. Here you can create multiple teams at once and assign one or more team leads to a team. If you assign multiple team leads, all team leads receive the leave requests from that team.
If you make someone a team lead here, they get the default team lead rights. You can expand these rights via the personnel file.
In the employee’s personnel file under Settings
, you can change user permissions and switch the role to team lead. Here you can give extra rights on top of the default team lead rights (e.g. documents, contracts, and employment terms).
Add team members
After you create teams, you can assign team members to a team. Go to a colleague’s profile
and on their profile select which team they belong to. You can also assign colleagues to multiple teams.
Note: When you add a team leader as a team member within their own team, this colleague will be considered their own team leader and will be able to review their own requests (e.g. leave requests, expense claims, etc.).
Tip: If team leaders need to have their own team leader who is not an admin, we recommend creating a separate team for Management (MT).
Filtering overviews by team
Once you’ve set up your teams, you can filter by team in many sections. This allows you to compare data per team or view each team’s availability directly in the Calendar
.
