Set your own employment terms

Updated today

In HoorayHR you can set different kinds of employment terms: from salary and bonuses to other allowances and schemes. These terms form the basis that you can then assign to colleagues.

Go to Core HR > Employment terms to see an overview of all employment terms in your environment.

System types

By default, a number of system types are ready, such as salary and contracted hours. You can't change the settings of these system types.

Tip: In the salary system type we've prepared default salary types. Read here how to manage them.

Add an employment term

You can easily create a new employment term:

  1. Click Add employment term.

  2. Choose a default employment term (we've prepared default terms per country) or create your own employment term.

  3. After adding, you can start setting up and assigning right away.

Read here how to set up an employment term.

Edit an employment term

Click the three dots next to an employment term and choose Edit.

Make an employment term default

Do you want an employment term to be ready automatically when you activate new employment records? Click the three dots and choose Make default.

Assign an employment term

After adding employment terms, you can easily assign them to colleagues. Click the three dots next to an employment term and click Assign.

Read here how to assign an employment term.

Terminate an employment term

When an employment term no longer applies, you can terminate it. This keeps the history, but the term no longer applies.

Click the three dots next to an employment term and click Terminate.

Read here how to terminate an employment term.

Delete an employment term

Do you want to delete a complete employment term, including all assignments and history, in one go? Click the three dots next to an employment term and click Delete.

Note: You can't delete the salary system type, because it includes default salary types. Read here how to manage them.
