Creating a schedule

A schedule allows you to assign a set of (national) holidays and mandatory days off to your employees. To create a schedule, you can follow the following steps:

Step 1. Go to Leave

Step 2. Choose 'Holidays'

Step 3. Click on the 'Add Schedule' button.

Step 4. Select a template of holidays to start with.

Tip: With the Dutch, Belgian and German holidays you start with a standard set of holidays. Of course you can add to these!

Step 5. Now you can do the following:

  • Enter the name of the schedule

  • Indicate whether this is the default schedule. A default schedule means that for new colleagues added to HoorayHR, this schedule is added to their profile by default.

  • Manage the public holidays in the schedule

    • Add days

    • Remove days

    • Offset days with the leave allowance (create mandatory days off)

For more explanation on managing days in the schedule, see the "Managing Days" section.

Step 6. Click Save.

Duplicating schedules

Should you wish to duplicate (and then possibly modify) a schedule, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Leave and choose Holidays here

Step 2. Click on the schedule you want to duplicate.

Step 3. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the schedule.

Step 4. From this menu, choose "Duplicate Schedule".

Step 5. Name the schedule and click 'Save'.

Delete Schedule

Should you wish to delete a schedule, please follow the following steps:

Step 1. Go to Leave and select Holidays here.

Step 2. Click on the schedule you want to delete.

Step 3. Click the three dots at the top right of the schedule.

Step 4. From this menu, select "Delete Schedule".

Note that a schedule can only be deleted if it is not assigned to an employee.
