Public holidays - Assigning employees to a schedule

Learn how to assign employees to a public holiday schedule.

It is possible to assign a schedule with the relevant holidays to one or more colleagues. Below are the steps for assigning.

New HoorayHR users

The holiday schedule set as "default" is automatically assigned to colleagues who are newly created within Hooray. Setting a schedule as "default" is as follows:

Step 1. Go to Leave and select Holidays here.

Step 2. Click on the schedule you want to remove.

Step 3. Click the three dots at the top right of the schedule.

Step 4. From this menu, choose "Create default schedule".

From then on, new colleagues added to Hooray will automatically be assigned the holidays covered by this schedule.

Existing HoorayHR users

You can also assign colleagues already added in HoorayHR separately to a schedule. You do this as follows:

Step 1. Go to Leave and select Public holidays.

Step 2. Click on the holiday schedule to which you want to add one or more colleagues.

Step 3. Then choose the Colleagues tab.

Step 4. Click on the 'Assign colleagues' button.

Step 5. Here, check the colleague(s) you want to add to the schedule you are in and click 'Assign'

Step 6. Finally click on 'Save'
