Below are all the options for managing days within a schedule.

Adding days to a schedule

To add a day to the schedule, follow the following steps:

Step 1. Open the schedule to which you want to add a day

Step 2. Navigate to the year in which you want to add a holiday

Step 3. Click on 'Add day'

Step 4. Then you can indicate whether you want to add your own day or choose a default public holiday.

  • For example, a custom day is used to set a mandatory day for the entire company.

  • A standard public holiday is a common (national) holiday that we have prepared for you. You do not need to enter the date of the holiday you select. Hooray will do that for you.

4.1. Choose your own day? Then enter the name and date of this day.

4.2. Do you choose a standard holiday? Then select from the selection field which public holiday you want to add. We have prepared national holidays from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Tip: You can specify for both a custom day and a standard holiday whether you want to add it for future years as well. Just check the box and it's settled!

Step 5. Once you've chosen an option, then select 'Add'.

Step 6. Then click 'Save' to save the schedule

Removing days from a schedule

If you want to remove a day from a schedule, you can follow these steps:

Step 1. Open the schedule from which you want to delete a day.

Step 2. Navigate to the year from which you want to delete a holiday.

Step 3. Click the 'X' symbol to remove a holiday from the schedule.

Step 4. Click on 'Save'.

Note: If you remove a holiday from a previous year, it may affect the leave balances of employees assigned the schedule.
