Absenteeism registration within HoorayHR

Absenteeism registration is a piece of cake in HoorayHR! HoorayHR uses the following steps for calling in sick and notifying you’ve recovered:

  • Step 1 - Absenteeism notification: your employee calls in sick.

  • Step 2 - Recovery notification: your employee let’s you know they’re feeling better.

  • Step 3 - Recovery confirmation: a team leader or administrator confirms an employee is working again.

A team leader or administrator can also register absenteeism afterwards. Then you record absenteeism and recovery both at once. This helps you keep an overview of the absenteeism rates of your team(s).

Tip: Read more about calling in sick and notifying you’ve recovered through our step-by-step process. Don’t forgot to put it in your absenteeism protocol!

Recording absenteeism with one push of a button

Team leaders and administrators can record absenteeism easily when employees aren’t able to do it themselves. You can access the absenteeism form through your dashboard, an employee’s profile, or the menu that is on each page. The form has been filled out for you already as much as possible. Fill out the following:

For which user

Select the employee involved.

  1. What day
The first day an employee is/has been ill. The day is set to today by default.

  2. Absent for the entire day
Write down whether your employee has been absent for the entire day or just a part of the day.

  3. Expected return
Write down when you’ll expect your employee to be back. This is just an indicator for team leaders and/or administrators and it will displayed in the calendar.

  4. Percentage
It’s set to 100% by default. You have the possibility to mark your employee as partially ill.

  5. Reason (optional):
Has your employee gotten ill on holiday? Write down the address and how the team leader(s) can reach that employee. Or use this field for a small hand-over.
Please note! The law prohibits you from asking whether someone is ill for privacy reasons.

Click “Save” to notify the absenteeism of this colleague to their team leader(s) and administrator(s). Your employee will also be notified that they have been registered as ill. Your absenteeism records are up to date immediately!

Recovery notification: put in the system your employee has recovered.

Yeah! Your employee is back in the office again. Change their status to recovered in HoorayHR.

You can easily retrieve a notification of absence through the dashboard or your employee’s profile. Select the absenteeism notification and add the last bits:

  1. Recovery date
The date your employee recovered. The day is set to today by default.

  2. Present for the entire day
Write down whether your employee has been present for the entire day or just a part of the day.

Done!

Click “Notify recovery” to notify the recovery of this employee to their team leader(s) and administrator(s). Your employee will also be notified that they have been registered as recovered.
