If an employee does not receive the invitation e-mail to activate his/her profile, this is usually due to an incorrect e-mail address or because the e-mail ended up in the spam folder. Here's how to check and fix this.
1. Check the employee's e-mail address
A typo in the e-mail address will cause the invitation not to arrive.
In HoorayHR, go to
Colleagues
and find the employee.Click on the name to open the profile and navigate to the
Profile
tab.Here, check that the
Email address (login)
field is filled in correctly.If it is wrong, modify the e-mail address and click
Save
at the top right of the profile .Then resend the invitation by clicking the status button at the top of the profile
Invited > Send reminder
.
2. Check the employee's spam folder
Some e-mail services mark the invitation as spam.
To be on the safe side, have the employee first search the spam or junk e-mail folder for a message from mailer@hoorayhr.io.
If the e-mail is there, it helps if the employee marks the sender address as
safe
so that future e-mails will not be mistaken as spam.
Still not receiving the e-mail?
If the email is not in spam and the address is correct, an IT department or system administrator can check whether the company's mail server is blocking messages from mailer@hoorayhr.io.
