Adding a new leave type, how do I do it?

In this article, we tell you where you can add new leave types as an administrator.

When adding leave types, you can choose from one of the templates or create your own. In both cases, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Leave > Leave types

  2. Click on the 'Add leave type' button.

1. Rather create your own leave type?
Then choose "Add new leave type", you can start from scratch.

2. Would you like to add a leave type from one of our templates?

We have prepared default leave types for several countries. Click on a template to create the leave type.

  1. In this screen, you can further set up the leave type. For extra help in setting it up, you can click the help icon at the top of the page. Here, based on the chosen template, we provide further explanation.

  2. Finished setting up the leave type? Then click "Save".

Now that your leave type has been created, you can assign it to employees and then also see how many employees have been assigned a leave type. You can read how to do this here.
