Whether you have a large or small organization, you'll quickly find the need for teams to keep work organized. At HoorayHR, we aim to create a ‘great place to work’ with as much self-management as possible.

Teams: divide the work and create an overview

At HoorayHR, we use teams. By grouping your colleagues into teams, you not only create an overview but also enable team leaders to handle requests. This reduces the workload for the administrator, and colleagues receive answers more quickly, such as when requesting leave.

Adding teams

To create a team, go to ‘Colleagues’ and then to ‘Teams’. Here, you can create multiple teams at once and assign one or more team leaders to a team. If you assign multiple team leaders, all team leaders will receive leave requests from the respective team.

When you designate someone as a team leader in this way, the team leader receives the default team leader rights. These rights can be further expanded in the employee's profile.

In the employee’s profile under “Settings,” you can modify user rights and change the role to team leader. Here, you can also grant additional rights beyond the standard team leader rights, such as access to company documents, contracts, and employment conditions.

Adding team members

After creating teams, you can assign team members to a team. This can be done by going to a colleague's profile and indicating to which team they belong. You can also assign colleagues to multiple teams.

Note: When you add a team leader as a team member to their own team, this colleague is considered their own team leader and can review their own requests (e.g., leave requests, expense claims, etc.).

Tip: If team leaders need their own team leader who is not an administrator, we recommend creating a separate team for Management (MT).

Filtering overviews by teams

Once your teams are set up, you can filter many sections by teams. This allows you to compare data per team or see team availability directly in the ‘Calendar’.
