The revamped hours feature offers extensive options, such as setting rules in an hours policy, compensation, and compliance rules. Organisations still using the old module can switch easily. This article shows you how to prepare and activate the switch, and what changes after go-live.
Note: The new hours feature currently has no integration with Nmbrs. You might need to process hours you register via HoorayHR manually in payroll.
Activating the new hours feature
The new hours feature is a paid add-on and you need to activate it first. After activation, the module is visible by default only to admins. That gives you time to set everything up before employees start using it.
When both modules are active, the hours feature shows two options:
Hours
Hours (new)
Preparing the switch
Before you make the new hours feature available to employees, set it up first. Start by creating one or more hours policies and assigning them to employees.

Make the feature visible to employees
Once everything is set up and tested, you can activate the new module. Go to Company settings > Visibility and switch Hours on (green). After you confirm, the old hours feature deactivates automatically. From that moment, the new hours feature appears first under Hours in the menu.
From then on, employees and team leads use only the new module and no longer have access to the old hours feature. Admins still have access to the old records, for example to make changes.
