The seniority date indicates the time from which a colleague's employment actually started. This date may differ from the employment date registered in HoorayHR. It is relevant, for example, if an employee was already working for you before the official start date of the current employment. For example, at another legal entity or after interrupted employment.
Setting a seniority date is optional. When you add it, HoorayHR uses this date instead of the employment date when automatically calculating anniversaries. The system then looks back at the seniority date to determine the correct anniversary year.
Adding a seniority date
When you activate a colleague's employment, you can choose to also add a seniority date. You can also add this date afterwards for existing employments.
