Who can view and manage sick leave?

To view and manage sick leave, we distinguish between a number of roles.

Administrators

Like the rest of the application, administrators have full access to the sick leave feature. They can both view and manage all sick leave notifications, and have access to the sick leave report.

Tip: It is also possible to give default users additional administrator rights for the sick leave feature. Read here how to configure this.

Team leader

Team leaders can view and manage the sick leave of only their team members.

Employee

Employees can report themselves sick and well. In addition, they can view their own sick items, but cannot change them after the initial notification.

What can employees see between themselves?

Leave and sick leave is displayed in the company calendar and on the dashboard (in the 'Upcoming weeks' block) as 'absent'. This gives employees insight into the availability of their colleagues, without sharing privacy-sensitive information.
