HoorayHR allows you to overlap leave requests. Obviously, you then want to avoid deducting budget for those days from both leave types. HoorayHR therefore looks at which leave request was created first, and only deducts the budget from that leave type.
Example
You work 8 hours every day
You take parental leave on Wednesdays every week by default for a while. So that's 8 hours of parental leave for each leave request.
You then plan a week's holiday on top of this parental leave request (5 days, so 40 hours).
Since you had already taken 8 hours of parental leave, that day does not cost you holiday budget as well. So taking your holiday leave will not cost you 40 hours, but 32 hours.
Do you still want the budget to come entirely off your holiday budget? Then withdraw the parental leave request (or ask a team leader/administrator to do this for you). We automatically re-calculate your holiday request: because the parental leave request has been withdrawn, it no longer overlaps and your holiday request increases to 40 hours. This of course also works with all other leave types where requests overlap.
