Getting started with "Time"

Updated this week

The time feature makes it easy to log worked time, set policies tailored to your organisation, and gain insight into overtime and compensation. Hours can be tracked in various ways, including clocking in, manual entry, or through integration with an external application.

Full control with policy and compliance

With time policies, you determine how each employee works: from mandatory breaks to overtime and compliance rules. This ensures that time tracking always aligns with legislation and your internal agreements.

Automatically calculated compensation for payment or time-off-in-lieu

Through compensation types, you define how worked hours are rewarded: as time-off-in-lieu or as payment, including the applicable percentage (e.g. 125%).

Depending on the policy in place, employees can either select a compensation type themselves (manual compensation), or the correct compensation is automatically applied based on overtime rules or premium rules. For example, extra hours worked on holidays or in the evenings can automatically be rewarded with time off in lieu or a higher payout.

Tracking hours worked online and via mobile app

Depending on the policy, employees log their time daily or weekly. This can be done manually, by clocking in live (desktop or mobile), or by using a QR code on location.

Once submitted, the hours automatically go to the responsible team lead or administrator for review.

Insight into worked hours for payment or reporting

All hours are collected in a central overview. Through reports, you can easily export data for example, for paying employees with zero-hour or min/max contracts.
