As security is extremely important to us at HoorayHR, we offer the option of securing your account extra through two-factor authentication (2FA).
This means you can add an extra authentication step to your password. Two-factor authentication combines something you know (your password) with something you have (an authentication device). This is usually your phone. For this, you use an Authenticator App like Google Authenticator. Someone who gets your password can only log in if they also manage to get hold of your phone. By adding this extra step, you make your log in a lot more secure.

How to activate 2FA?
Follow these steps to activate 2FA for your account:
Log in to your HoorayHR account
Click on your Avatar at the top right.
Navigate to 'My settings'.
Then choose 'Security'. Here you will see the 'Two-factor authentication' feature.
4. Download an Authenticator App on your phone (e.g. Google Authenticator).
5. Enter your HoorayHR password, so we're sure it's you.
6. Scan the code with the Authenticator App
7. Copy the code from your phone
Done! Your account is secured with 2FA.
