What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?
With Single Sign-On (SSO), employees can sign in to HoorayHR with their work account from Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID. They no longer need to remember a separate username and password, which makes signing in faster and easier.
How does SSO work in HoorayHR?
When SSO is enabled:
Employees sign in via Google or Microsoft
The email address in HoorayHR must exactly match the Google or Microsoft account
If an account with that email address exists, the employee gets access straight away
Activate SSO
You can set up SSO via Company settings > Security. You can enable SSO and also make it mandatory for part or all of the organisation.
Make SSO mandatory
When SSO is mandatory:
Signing in with a username and password is no longer possible
Employees can no longer change their login email address
If the Google or Microsoft account is deactivated, the employee can no longer sign in to HoorayHR
You can limit the requirement to specific email domains, e.g. @hoorayhr.io. That way, employees with a personal email address can still sign in in the usual way.
