Employers want to keep a grip on their business, which includes all processes involved. Document management in HoorayHR helps you in this. Create categories, share documents with one push of a button and set reminders so you won’t forget anything.

Categories

You can easily create categories and labels within the document management feature. We’ve provided two default categories for you. Create new categories to provide a clear structure.

Create a category

Administrators can easily create new categories

Step 1: Click “Add new category” from the document overview tab.

Step 2: Select a name for the category.

Step 3: Select a fitting icon.

Step 4: Save! Your category is ready!

Edit a category

Entered the wrong information? No worries. You can easily change the category.

Step 1: The Document overview shows you an edit button with three dots behind every category.

Step 2: Select “Edit category”.

Step 3: Change the name.

Step 4: Change the icon if you want.

Step 5: Save! The category is directly updated.

Please note! There are two pre-set categories you cannot delete. These are “Contracts” and “Payslips”.

Deleting labels

Do you want to delete an entire category including all accompanying labels and documents all at once? No problem.

However, you cannot delete the two pre-set categories “Contracts” and “Payslips”.

Please note: all related documents and labels will be automatically deleted as well. You cannot reverse this.

Step 1: The Document overview shows you an edit button with three dots behind every category.

Step 2: Select “Delete category”.

Step 3: Read the pop-up screen and enter the exact name of the category for confirmation.

Step 4: Delete! The category, including all assigned documents and labels have been deleted.

Labels

The “Contracts” category is a nice example. Within this category you’ve got labels like “statutory” and “exceeding the statutory entitlement”. You can use these labels to filter so you or your colleagues can retrieve documents easily.

Creating labels

You can easily create labels within a category. They function like sub-categories which you can use to create an even better structure.

Step 1: Access the Category overview and click “Add new label”.

Step 2: Select a label.

Step 3: Save! Your label is ready!

Editing labels

Do you want to rename a label? You can easily change the label.

Step 1: The Category overview shows you an edit button with three dots behind every label.

Step 2: Select “Edit label”.

Step 3: Change the name.

Step 4: Save! The label is directly updated.

Deleting labels

Do you want to delete a label, including all accompanying documents? No problem.
